Job Title: Receptionist – Part-Time.

Location: The Naturist Foundation, Brocken Hurst, Sheepcote Lane, Orpington, Kent, BR5 4ET.

Reports to: The Trustees

Summary Description: The Receptionist at The Naturist Foundation is the first point of contact for associate members and all visitors.  This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring that all visitors have a pleasant and seamless experience in alignment with the club’s naturist values and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:   Warmly greet associate members and all visitors upon arrival, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed about the club’s policies, events and amenities.

Manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently, including verifying new visitor identifications, issuing day visitor passes, and handling payments and refunds.

Liaise with the Meadow Wardens to ensure that camping visitors have a seamless experience finding and settling on their allocated camping pitch.

Provide information about club facilities, events, and activities, and answer any queries from associate members and visitors.

Handle incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally, and where necessary directing inquiries to the appropriate individuals or Trustees.

Assist with new associate membership applications, renewals, and cancellations.  Maintain accurate records of member information.

Administration Duties:  Perform various administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing appointment schedules.

Safety and Security:  Ensure that all visitors comply with the club’s naturist guidelines, health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.  Report any suspicious activities to the Trustees and Safeguarding committee.

Monitor entrances via CCTV and ensure that only associate members and known/expected pre-booked visitors and tradesmen are allowed access.

Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and promoting club events and activities. Provide logistical support for events held at the club.

Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy, and well-maintained. Report any maintenance issues to the maintenance ground staff.

Customer Feedback: Collect and address feedback from members and visitors to improve service quality.

Qualifications & Experience:  Previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role is preferred.

Skills:  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.

Personal qualities: Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour.  Comfortable working in a naturist environment and respectful of naturist values.

Education:  GCSE maths and English are essential.  Additional qualifications in hospitality or administration are a plus.

Other Requirements: Flexibility to work weekends and Bank Holidays.

Working Environment:  The receptionist will work in a welcoming and inclusive naturist environment, where nudity is the norm and accepted practice.  It is essential that the candidate is comfortable within this setting.

Hours of work: Two days per week to include a weekend day.

9.00am to 5.00pm April to September inclusive with a one hour unpaid lunch break.

Benefits: Hourly Rate: £12.00ph

Statutory Annual leave of 5.6 Weeks pro rata inclusive of bank holidays.
